This procedure is useful for pain in legs due to canal stenosis. This is performed as a day care procedure.
The patient needs to lie prone (on his stomach). The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. An epidural needle is inserted under image guidance in the caudal epidural space. A mixture of local anaesthetic and steroid is injected. Patient is discharged an hour after procedure.
